The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is mourning the death of Reverend Smart K. Senesie, a former Moyamba District Chairman and National Chaplain of the party, who passed away at the 34 Military Hospital in Freetown.

News of his death was confirmed through tributes shared by SLPP members and supporters, who described him as a committed party man, spiritual leader, and public servant. According to party sources, Rev. Senesie died after a period of illness, though official details surrounding his passing have not yet been made public.

Rev. Senesie was widely known within the SLPP for his spiritual guidance and dedication to the growth and unity of the party. He previously served as SLPP Moyamba District Chairman, where he played a key role in mobilization and party organization at the grassroots level. He later became the party’s National Chaplain, a position through which he provided moral and spiritual leadership to members nationwide.

Beyond party politics, Rev. Senesie also served as Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA). During his tenure, he was credited by colleagues and supporters with efforts aimed at improving road safety across the country and addressing corruption within public administration.
