Popular Sierra Leonean female hip-hop artist Linda Samai, widely known by her stage name Star Zee, was involved in a serious car accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. near the Aberdeen Coke Signboard in Freetown. According to eyewitness accounts, the collision was reportedly caused by reckless driving from another vehicle attempting to overtake.

Preliminary reports indicate that no fatalities were recorded. Star Zee and other occupants of the vehicle escaped unharmed, though her husband, Don Mystic, is said to have sustained injuries to his arm. He is currently receiving treatment.

Shortly after the incident, the award-winning rapper took to Facebook to express gratitude for surviving the accident. “God if Noto bin you we for bin don tell good bye this morning.. God I thank you,” she wrote, reflecting on what could have been a tragic outcome.

Fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry have since expressed relief and sent messages of support to the star and her family as they recover from the ordeal.
