Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of 25-year-old Christiana Johnny, which occurred on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, in Njoluhun village, Moyamba District.
The suspect, identified as Kinneh Koroma, is alleged to have attacked the deceased during an encounter on her way back from Taiama Town, where she had gone to purchase food.
According to community and police sources, Christiana Johnny and the suspect were previously in a romantic relationship while living in Njoluhun village. Reports indicate that the relationship ended earlier this year, after which tensions reportedly developed between the two.

Village authorities responded promptly and apprehended the suspect on the same day of the incident. He was initially taken to the Taiama Police Station before being transferred to the Moyamba Police Station, where he remains in custody assisting with investigations.
The killing has sent shockwaves through Njoluhun village and surrounding communities, as residents mourn the loss of the young woman. Police say investigations are ongoing, and further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
