Mangeh Deen Tarawalie and Musa Turay have been granted Le 50 million bail in a matter of assault on a police officer by Magistrate Santigie Bangura at the Pademba Road Court No.3 in Freetown.
The accused are before Magistrate Santigie Bangura on four counts of wounding and assault-related charges.
Police alleged that the accused persons, on Thursday 31st August 2023 at No.20 O’Neil Street, in Freetown, assaulted and wounded the complainant, Abu S. Koroma, in a manner thereby causing him grievous bodily harm.
It was also alleged that the accused assaulted Abu S. Koroma and Mariama Koroma in a manner thereby causing them grievous bodily harm. (Ambien)
State prosecutor, Detective Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sorie Conteh, requested that the victim, Koroma, testify in court on the next adjourned date.
The accused were granted fifty million old Leones (Le 50, 000,000) bail, with two sureties in like sum after defense counsel, lawyer Campbell requested bail on their behalf.
Magistrate Santigie Bangura adjourned the matter to the 17th of October 2023 for further hearing.
