A Technician and Apprentice to the Complainant Sanpha Kanu, Abu Bakarr Conteh, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of the Magistrate Court No.1 Pademba Road, Freetown, for stealing items at the Connaught hospital.

The accused is charged with one count of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, it was alleged that the accused Abu Bakarr Conteh on Wednesday 13th March 2024, at Connaught Hospital Wallace Johnson Street, Freetown, stole 5 metal plates, 5 metal connections and 5 pieces of bolts and nuts all to the total value of fourteen thousand Leones (Nie14000), properties of Sampha Kanu attached at Connaught hospital as technician.

The accused was denied bail, remanded in custody and the matter adjoined to May 8th 2024. Inspector Sellu Tap is Prosecuting the matter.
