A tiler and labourer, Mustapha Kpaka, reportedly appeared before Magistrate Julian Mary Gbloh on a charge of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916, following allegations that he stole construction materials belonging to a church in the Western Area.
According to court documents, the alleged offence took place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at No. 9 Old Railway Line, Tengbeh Town in the Western Area.
The accused is alleged to have stolen one ton of five-eighth iron rods and other assorted items valued at Le93,000. The items are reported to be the property of Abundant Life Faith Ministry International Church.
When the charge was read and explained in court, Kpaka pleaded not guilty.
Following his plea, Magistrate Julian Mary Gbloh refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility pending further hearing. The matter has been adjourned to March 6, 2026, for continuation of the case.
