Police officers at the Ross Road Division of the Sierra Leone Police have arrested a 35-year-old woman, identified as Marie Bangura, for alleged possession of a large quantity of substances suspected to be cannabis sativa.

According to police sources, the arrest followed an operation carried out by officers of the division, during which the suspect was found in possession of a total of nine hundred and eighty (980) wrapped ties of the suspected illegal substance.

The suspect, along with the recovered exhibits, has been taken into police custody, where investigations are ongoing. Police say further updates will be provided as inquiries progress.
