Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has received international recognition following its participation in the African-European Investigation Forum hosted by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).
The ACC delegation, led by Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala Esq., engaged in discussions focused on strengthening cross-border cooperation in the fight against corruption and fraud.
According to forum participants, the ACC’s collaboration with OLAF was highlighted as an example of effective investigative practice, with commendations noting its efficiency and professionalism.
A key moment at the forum was a joint presentation delivered by the ACC’s Director of Investigations, Evelyn Kuyateh, alongside an OLAF Investigations Officer. The presentation focused on ongoing cooperation between the two institutions and drew positive feedback from attendees.
The recognition reflects Sierra Leone’s increasing involvement in international anti-corruption initiatives and its efforts to build partnerships with global institutions.
Speaking on the development, Commissioner Kaifala attributed the progress to ongoing institutional reforms, professional standards, and the Commission’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
The ACC noted that its participation in the forum forms part of broader efforts to strengthen international collaboration and enhance the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures.
