My dear APC members, if ever there was any time for us to be more retrospective, more measured in the expression of our emotions ,more mature and more loyal to our party, this is our moment. We have come to a very tricky and delicate part of our history.
We cannot afford for our party to break apart. We cannot afford for the ruling yesterday by Justice Adrian Fisher to turn us against one another and start tearing one another apart. If we do that we will be playing into the hands of the SLPP, who might be wishing for yesterday’s ruling to herald the death knell of our party.
At this time, our options are very limited. The cards are stacked against us. We have a diabolical ruling party seeking our downfall and total demise . We do not want our party to break apart. We do not want to remain in opposition and limbo for eternity, which is what SLPP might be wishing for our great party. We have to unite and win the forthcoming 2023 presidential, parliamentary and local council elections .
As a result, we have to be circumspect and move speedily. At this juncture , our best imperative is to avoid chaos that might hinder our party. I am listening to the many audios on social media in which members have started attacking one another , threatening reprisals and some even threatening violence. This has got to stop. By so doing, we are playing ourselves into the hands of enemies of our party and our nation who want to see us tearing one another apart, and drifting away from the common purpose, which is to reclaim State House in the Supreme interest of our suffering nation next year 2023.
We cannot afford the ruling yesterday to paralyze and cripple our party. We have to move on. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. If we appeal the ruling, it will only keep us mired in court and unable to fight the good fight of redeeming our nation from the hands of the despotic, corrupt, diabolical, wicked, human rights abusing, tribalistic, regionalistic, unproductive and unprogressive , wasteful and unpatriotic SLPP cartel. The SLPP- controlled judiciary will keep adjourning the case so that we will have no time for our convention and make the SLPP return to power in 2023 to harm our nation more.
Right now, we have to move on. Whatever we felt about yesterday’s ruling, we have to move on in the Supreme interest of our party. We have to move on and stage our national delegates convention, elect our officials and flagbearer and start promoting him towards winning next year’s elections. We have a great chance to win the 2023 elections. We must not blow it by continuous infighting.
We must eschew all nfighting : we must stop threatening one another. We must stop anything that will not advance the interest of our party. We cannot afford to break up. We are family. We have to maintain the bonds of the family . Wetin don be, don be. We cannot change it but we can use it to advance our common enterprise, which is to return to State House next year. We cannot afford to remain shackled by our past. We all had our loyalties, which is a mark of democracy but we cannot control what is going on. We are disadvantaged in the hands of this SLPP – controlled judiciary . We must acknowledge the fact : The SLPP is enjoying the power of incumbency and using it criminally to obliterate our party, though we have to remind them that the APC is unconquerable. The APC will never be cast in the dustbin of history. We have always bounced back and we must bounce back in 2023.
This is my advice to you all, my dear beloved comrades. Accepting the ruling does not mean we are surrendering. We are just being wise, looking at our viable options and also trying to avoid making our detractors , the SLPP, realize their wish — Preside over our destruction and perpetrate themselves in power to the detriment of our suffering people.
Please let us realize that our APC comrades are not our enemies. Please let us make none of our comrades our enemy..Our enemies are the people who want to see us break apart . Our enemies are those who want our party to be crippled and rendered impotent. Our APC comrades must not be our enemies.
May God bless the APC and save the state.
