The Ireland Office in Sierra Leone announced the opening of applications for the 2025/26 Ireland Fellows Programme on July 1st, 2024.

This prestigious program offers early to mid-career professionals the chance to gain a world-class education at a higher education institution (HEI) in Ireland. The fellowship covers program fees, flights, accommodation, and living expenses for a one-year Master’s program commencing in August or September.

The Ireland Fellows Programme is committed to fostering future leaders who can contribute to Sierra Leone’s development. The program specifically encourages applications from a diverse pool of candidates, including women, people with disabilities, and those from minority groups. It aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, promoting inclusive and effective institutions.

“This is an exceptional opportunity for young Sierra Leoneans to gain valuable skills and knowledge,” said a spokesperson for the Ireland Office. “We encourage applications from all qualified individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in their home country.”
