The first batch of Sierra Leonean Hajj Pilgrims for 2024 are set to depart the Holy Land of Macca, Saudi Arabia for Freetown on Saturday 6th July 2024.
According to report from Sierra Leone Information Attache to Saudi Arabia, the Pilgrims are presently at the King Abdul Aziz Hajj Terminal in Jaddah awaiting to board the Ethiopian Airlines (ET8911) which is expected to take off for Freetown as exactly 2:46 KSA time.
The report continued that the Pilgrims are expected to arrived at the Freetown International Airport in Lungi at 8:46 PM Sierra Leone time.
Few days back, the National Public Health Agency (NPHA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Social Welfare (MOSW), and other key stakeholders, developed a comprehensive plan to ensure the safe return of Hajj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia amidst COVID-19 concerns.
