Former Labour Minister, Alpha Timbo appointed Chair of Wages and Compensation Commission.

President Julius Maada Bio has made a significant appointment, designating Mr. Alpha Osman Timbo as the Chairman of the Wages and Compensation Commission, as per Section 4 of the Wages and Compensation Commission Act, 2023.

The official appointment letter states:

“I have the honour to inform you that in accordance with Section 4 of the Wages and Compensation Commission Act, 2023, it has pleased His Excellency the President, Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio to appoint you as Chairman, Wages and Compensation Commission.”

The terms and conditions of Mr. Timbo’s service will be communicated to him at a later date. The appointment officially comes into effect upon his reporting for duty, with the President’s office requesting Mr. Timbo to specify the date he will commence his duties.
