The President of Sierra Leone together with his wife, Fatima Bio and their daughter have safely landed at the Freetown International Airport from the United Kingdom.
Bio last week left Sierra Leone for Britain to attend the official coronation of King Charles III.
During his stay in the UK, the Sierra Leonean President hobnobs with other heads of state of mostly Commonwealth nations.
He also had meetings with the UK Government.
Before his trip, the Sierra Leone President congratulated the Prince Charles and Queen Consort Camilla on his official Twitter page.
The visit could mark Bio’s last visit before the country hold their presidential election in June 2023.
Sierra Leone and the UK have enjoyed amicable friendship since the West African country gained independence in 1961.
King Charles’ mother and father Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip spent six days in Sierra Leone when they visited the country in November 1961.
The country’s largest port in Freetown was named after the late British monarch.
