President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio on Monday, 5th January 2026, attended the funeral ceremony of Mr. Talal Saleh Fawaz, popularly known as Junior Bio, a devoted supporter of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
The late Fawaz was widely known for his strong belief in President Bio’s political ideology and his unwavering commitment to the SLPP. Party members and associates described him as a loyal stalwart whose dedication to the party and its values remained consistent over the years.
The funeral ceremony was attended by family members, friends, SLPP officials, party supporters, and well-wishers. It was marked by prayers and tributes reflecting on his life, service, and commitment. Speakers described him as a man of conviction whose political support was rooted in belief rather than personal interest.
Following the ceremony, the First Lady paid tribute to the late Fawaz, acknowledging his loyalty and steadfast support for President Bio’s vision and leadership. She offered prayers for his soul, asking Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him mercy, and admit him into Al-Jannah.
The death of Talal Saleh Fawaz has been described as a significant loss to the SLPP, particularly among party members who valued his dedication and consistency.
