Your Excellency President Julius Maada Bio,
With due respect and humility, I write as a concerned and patriotic citizen of Sierra Leone who loves this country deeply and desires to see it move forward in peace, unity, and prosperity.
Mr. President, many citizens are worried about the frequency of overseas travels at a time when our nation is facing serious internal challenges. We respectfully appeal that more attention be given to addressing pressing domestic issues that affect the daily lives of ordinary Sierra Leoneans.
The cost of living continues to rise sharply. Fuel prices and basic commodities are becoming unaffordable for many families, making life extremely difficult. Corruption, which many citizens see as a pandemic, is still affecting national development and public trust in institutions. These challenges require strong leadership, close supervision, and constant presence at home.
Your Excellency, there is also growing concern that foreigners often appear to be better protected and favored, while ordinary citizens struggle to access basic protection, opportunities, and justice. This perception is hurting national morale and unity.
Mr. President, we believe that focusing more on internal development, fighting corruption decisively, stabilizing prices, and prioritizing the welfare of citizens will restore hope and confidence in your leadership.
We make this appeal with respect, loyalty, and faith in your capacity to lead Sierra Leone toward a better future. May God guide you with wisdom as you serve the nation.
Yours respectfully,
A concerned Sierra Leonean citizen 🇸🇱
