Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio, engaged with Damiola Ogunbiyi, the CEO of Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) and the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General, who also serves as the Co-Chair of the United Nations Energy.

Their discussion revolved around the implementation of the SE4All initiative.

The conversation explored potential areas for collaboration and underscored the ongoing support provided by Sustainable Energy for All to help Sierra Leone achieve its sustainable energy access goals.

It’s worth noting that the government’s primary objective is to significantly increase the share of renewable energy in the national energy mix by 2030 and expand access to electricity for off-grid populations through mini-grids and stand-alone solar home system.
