Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio has appointed Abdul Rahman Conteh as the new Acting Director General for the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI).

Conteh’s appointment was made through a letter dated 14th November 2023 and was signed by the Secretary to the President Julius F. Sandy.

According to the letter, Conteh’s terms and conditions of service in respect of his will be communicated to him in due course.

His appointment will take effect from the date he reports for duty, and he will be based at the SLARI Headquarters in Freetown and he will work under the overall supervision of the SLARI Councils.

Conteh is asked to indicate in writing his acceptance or otherwise of the offer.
