Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio opened the 2024 International Conference of the ECOWAS Court of Justice in Freetown.
The conference, held at the Freetown International Conference Centre, brought together dignitaries including the President of the ECOWAS Court, Edward Amoako Asante, and justices from across the West African region.
Sierra Leone expressed its commitment to a more just and equitable West Africa. The government highlighted its efforts to improve national justice systems, defend human rights, and collaborate with the ECOWAS Court. President Bio pledged strong support for the Court’s role in fostering regional integration and upholding the rule of law.
This conference signifies a significant step towards strengthening regional cooperation and promoting a more just future for West Africa.
