His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio has presented a conveyance and survey plan for 2.249 acres of land to Ambassador Sibel Erkan, for the construction of the Turkish Embassy and in fulfillment of an earlier agreement with the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

He added that he was looking forward to receiving his colleague, the Turkish President, when he chose to visit Sierra Leone for the turning of the sod or the commissioning of the building.

Ambassador Erkan said she was humbled and happy to receive the document on behalf of her President and the people of Turkey, adding that it was also a big step in strengthening the relations between the two countries.

Presenting the same document for 1.08 acres of land to Faraj Sueed Almabrouk, the Chargés D’Affaires of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sierra Leone, Present Bio said he was pleased to deliver on that because their permanent structures would go a long way to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

The Saudi envoy said he was happy to receive the document and would proceed to deliver it to the authorities in Riyadh.
