Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has reshuffled his cabinet, terminating the services of Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, 10 other ministers, and nominating five new cabinet members.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in a press conference at the State House in Freetown to mark this year’s April Fool’s Day.
Speaking on behalf of the President was Secretary to the President, Dr. Emmanuel A.R. Gaima, who confirmed the immediate effect of these cabinet changes subject to Parliamentary approval.
“It has pleased His Excellency, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio to approve the immediate implementation of these actions to reinvigorate the administration’s capacity for optimal efficiency, pursuant to his commitment to deliver on his promises to Sierra Leoneans,” Gaima said.

This really shock me oooo but at the end it April fool
At first I didn’t read the details and I started telling others about it. Someone said it’s a prank but yet still I didn’t believe. But do you know why I didn’t believe it was a prank made by Sierraloaded? Because in my mind,every information from Sierraloaded is very authentic.
I later confirmed it’s a prank and that made me very dissatisfied.
