President Dr Julius Maada Bio has sworn to the Oath of Office of the Presidency after winning on the first ballot in the 24 June 2023 elections, thanking voters and extending open hands to the opposition All People’s Congress leadership to kickstart his inclusive governance agenda.
“Today, with the successful conduct of the 2023 multi-tier elections, Sierra Leone stands tall among young democracies for our efforts in consolidating our democratic gains. Peaceful conduct of successive democratic elections has become our national ethos, giving our country the highest accolade in the league of stable democracies worldwide.
“I am extremely humbled and immensely thankful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me with your overwhelming vote ─ securing me and the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) victory to lead our great nation, Sierra Leone, for another term of five years,” he stated.
The President also recognised that with his second-term mandate, Sierra Leoneans had proven beyond every reasonable doubt their abiding faith in his capacity to sustain and advance the transformational work his government had started in 2018.
“Fellow Sierra Leoneans, I am always committed to being a fair leader and the President for all. Regardless of your political affiliation, tribe, religion, or socioeconomic background, I dedicate myself to serving you with dedication, integrity, and commitment. Our victory today is not just mine; it belongs to every Sierra Leonean who dreams of a brighter and better future for our nation.
“Fellow Sierra Leoneans, with the election results, your voices have been heard loud and clear, and I promise to commence the process of bringing together our progressive forces, including political party leaders, Civil Society Organisations, and religious and traditional leaders to forge a common front to move this country forward.
“I, therefore, extend a hand of fellowship to my brother and foremost opposition leader, Dr Samura Kamara of the All People’s Congress (APC), to join us in the arduous task of nationbuilding. The job ahead is enormous, but collectively, we can build the country of our dreams ─ the Sierra Leone our current and future generations deserve.
“It is time for us to join hands in blurring the lines drawn during the spirited campaign season and reunite as one united family — proud members of the Sierra Leonean nation,” he noted.
President Bio reiterated that his government would focus on food security, consolidating gains in Human Capital Development, creating jobs for young people, revamping the public service and developing technology and infrastructure.
Immediately following the announcement of the result by the National Returning Officer and Chairman of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone, the opposition APC flagbearer, Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, tweeted to thank each and everyone and acknowledged the efforts of local and international partners.

You and Mohamed Konneh have ploted against the people’will and have stolen our rights,
We spoke loudly through our democratic right that we need a CHANGE.
We are tired of your brutal government that kills, destroyed our hard worn democracy, damaged our economy, suppressed our freedom of speech, destroyed the currency and the good image of this county and tried of hearing lies from you.
Maada Bio and Mohamed Konneh ‘s names are now written in the Black books of Sierra Leone for this undemocratic actions you have taken against the people of Sierra Leone.
We shall never forgive you and we hope the Almighty God will punish you, your family and children yet unborn.
We know that you are indeed rebels that have manifested your plans for the destruction of this nation.
We pray that the International community takes very serious actions against you for depriving us and forcefully installing this Devil incernate in this country as ruler.
May God have mercy on the poor people of Sierra Leone who have worked tirelessly to bring a change for the betterment of all Sierra Leoneans.

My God whose name is Jesus Christ will not answer you. He is not God that can lies. He does the right things. Your heart is too black and evil. You don’t have no forgiving heart and that going to destroy you. Stop. There is no God in you. If you have ever read the bible, do you read what king Saul did to king David when God anointed David. Determine to kill David. All king Saul children were killed in a war and king Saul committed suicide. Be careful or you will do the same thing. Do you know Joseph the dreamer in the bible what his brothers did to him. Joseph saved their lives from hunger. They asked Joseph’s forgiveness, and he did. It is not too late for you to ask President Bio to forgive you. His generations of generations will one day help your generations if they will be alive. Stop. What you are doing is not good even for your own health. One day you will say some one advices me and I don’t even know him. Too much hatred in you and your heart is too black. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and cleanses you. Then, you can make it. I lay my case down. Think about it. God almighty is watching. He put President Bio on that chair and no one can move President Bio except God say so. Make this. Amen!
Congratulations his excellency for your second assignment in office. This time round, we the citizens of Sierra Leone are kindly pleading that you tolerate no lawlessness. Anyone that falls sort of the law should be immediately delt with.
I think the word diversity does not sound well
As such i want to congratulates His Excellency Julious mada Bio Bio for beinging the first Man of Sierra leone for the second term.
We should all thank God that the people of Sierra leone have educated to Expandciate between good and evil. Its has clearly be shown that the womb of our president was blessed long ago. And what God has marked can never erased. Its was written that Samura Kamara will never be a President in his life and no matter what we the mortalkind do we can never change that. If only Men like us are admited to talk about the positive role of our president I will give people reasons why they should consider him as our saviour. Between the five years of his rain he has electrify over seven Towns Falaba and Moyamba are clear Examples. Moyamba has been for over forty years with no electricity supply.in the same five years he constructed the Magban bridge ‘which in the previous season people are dieing because of poor road network. Within this time he has also build an Aultra modern Airport. In the same five years he do even what countries with all possiblities can’t do by given Free Education to the people in the country. And i am a clear testimony of one has benefited from it. My Rococo can still recall in 2017 when I entered SSS1 I paid over le 870 leones in a Government school but since he became the president in 2018.I started enjoying the fruit of my Nationality..I want to vividly encourage all Sierra leoneans to pleas be patient with the president to put our creeple Economy in order. Let just believe where their is betterness their must be sweetness on day .Long live our President long live Sierra Leone

That’s why the diplomat boycott his sworn in ceremony. When you steal the conscience works and you can’t deliver anything. Free education, where even those who are in government don’t know what they’re doing. Where people can’t defend their papers. Where everything is being CON.

As citizens of Sierra Leone, we have recently witnessed the culmination of a democratic process through our national elections. Regardless of our political affiliations or the outcome of the election, it is now time to come together as one nation and embrace nonviolence for a peaceful post-election Sierra Leone.
1. Unity above all:
Let us remember that our shared identity as Sierra Leoneans surpasses any political differences or party loyalties. It is crucial to prioritize unity and work together toward the betterment of our nation. By embracing nonviolence, we can foster an atmosphere of inclusivity and respect where everyone’s voices are heard and valued.
