Sierra Leone’s President H.E Julius Maada Bio has welcomed the Vice President of neighbouring Liberia, V.P Jeremiah Kpan Koung to Sierra Leone.
It was revealed that, Vice President Koung came on a working visit to Sierra Leone as part of gaining an insight into the impressive advancements made by the Government of Sierra Leone in various sectors including education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and civil liberties over the years.
In his statement, President Bio maintained that, the foundation of his government’s accomplishments lies in effective leadership, collective responsibility within the cabinet, as well as the unwavering trust and support from international partners and proactive citizens, as well as emphasizing the strong ties between Sierra Leone and Liberia, rooted not only in geographical proximity but also shared cultural and historical connections.
President Bio on behalf of all Sierra Leoneans also conveyed his greetings to President Joseph Nyumah Boakai of Liberia and believed that both countries have for far too long enjoyed collaboration and may continue in the drive in exchanging different developmental strategies that will help both countries developmentally within different sectors.
