The Bo City Council signed (MoU) with Gbotima Ventures; launches five buses to enhance the Bo city’s public transport system and engages Transport Sectors.
This step taking by the council aim to address the challenges of transportation and provide a more efficient and reliable transport service for the residents of Bo City.
The MoU agreement outlines plans to improve the quality and accessibility of public transport, which is expected to benefit not just the growing population but also both the Council and Gbotima Ventures. The initiative is part of a broader effort in Bo City Council to modernize public transport systems which was a manifesto promise by the Mayor of Bo City Council, Kobba Musa.
The initiative include five Brand New Buses with modern facilities including Air Conditioned, Plasma TV and a train-like sitting position which accommodate loggage blow the seats. The buses will run from one destination to another destination with labels of the various plying roots in the municipality.
His Worship Mayor Kobba Musa who for the past weeks was urging Gbotima Ventures to come and start operations, officially launched the buses for operation in the city of Bo.
As Bo City Council is build on Inclusiveness, Participation and Good Governance, a consultation meeting with the transport sectors in Bo city was initiated by the Council and a successful deliberations were made with all transport sectors giving meaningful contributions. Questions were raised on the operational make-up of the buses. Adequately, the staff members of the buses did justice to the questions.
The Buses will start operations tomorrow Monday 5th August, 2024 on free basis on till the following week which cost fees will be effected of 5Nle for adults and 3Nle from school going persons from root destinations to another.
