A terrible fire has today, 13th October, 2022, burnt down the shanty town of Susan’s Bay (Big Wharf), in Sierra Leone’s capital of Freetown.

The hungry fire started in the evening hours of Thursday as many affected victims are either injured or dislodged according to initial reports.

It’s not clear the number of houses that have been destroyed but many are seeking temporary shelter. Families, who already live in extreme poverty lost everything in flames.
