Dr. Samura Kamara, the 2023 flagbearer and chairman of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, announced that he welcomed the American Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Ambassador Hunt, at the APC headquarters in Brookfields, Freetown, this morning.

In a statement, Samura Kamara said, “This morning, I had the honor of receiving Ambassador Hunt of the USEmbFreetown at the APCHQ in Freetown. Ambassador, you are warmly welcomed.”

This meeting occurs amid preparations for a national dialogue between the Government of Sierra Leone and the main opposition APC. The APC had abstained from participating in all governance activities, citing allegations of election fraud during the recently concluded June 24 elections.
