On November 1, 2024, U.S. Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Bryan Hunt, visited the Campaign for Human Rights and Development International (CHRDI) at their office in Freetown.

The organization has played a critical role in contributing to U.S. congressional and annual human rights reports. Recently, CHRDI facilitated a crucial dialogue between a U.S.-based mining company and the Sierra Leonean government, addressing significant economic and diplomatic interests.
During the visit, Ambassador Hunt and CHRDI Chief Executive, Abdul Fatoma, expressed their commitment to strengthening the collaboration between the U.S. Embassy and CHRDI.
