Some of the newly appointed Cabinet Ministers have expressed their appreciation to President Julius Maada Bio for reappointing them in his second term.

Some of the ministers that expressed their appreciation include Mohamed Rahman Swaray, Mohamed Orman Bangura and Fanday Turay.

Swaray, who served as the Minister of Information and Communication in Bio’s first term, has been reappointed as the new Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security.

“Thanking His Excellency President Bio for his continuing trust and confidence in me to lead the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security – one of the big 5 Game changers,” Swaray reacted to the news of his appointment on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Bangura retained his position as Minister of Youth Affairs. He also expressed his appreciation to the President for him to serve in the same capacity as he did in Bio’s first term.

Turay was serving in the UN Mission as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador and he was announced as the new Minister of Transport and Aviation.

“I am committed to serving with distinction and delivering on the President’s agenda,” he said.

He appreciated the President while urging his office to work with him “for each and every Sierra Leonean”.

Bio made his second cabinet and other important appointments on Saturday, July 15.
