The Center on Human Trafficking Research and outreach has on Monday 24th April, 2023 met with the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.

The meeting and engagement was focused at the on-going commitment on the CenHTRO to end human trafficking in Sierra Leone ahead of the conference for the ECOWAS region beginning on the 25th April, 2023.

The conference which will be geared towards addressing human trafficking issues in the region titled “ Regional conference of ECOWAS states on ending human trafficking 2023” chatting a way forward for deeper cooperation amongst ECOWAS states to end human trafficking.

The said conference is to be hosted at the Freetown International Conference Centre, Aberdeen in Sierra Leone on the 25th – 26th April, 2023.

The keynote address and official opening of the conference is said to be done by the President of Sierra Leone His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
