On Tuesday, September 19th, the Chief Justice of Sierra Leone is set to perform a significant ceremonial duty. The occasion will be the official opening of the Criminal Session, a pivotal moment in the country’s legal calendar.
A Guard of Honour, mounted by the Sierra Leone Police, will be inspected by the Chief Justice as part of the formalities.
During this Criminal Session, a total of 43 criminal cases will be presided over by a Supreme Court Judge. These cases represent the ongoing efforts to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law in Sierra Leone.
