To foster cooperation and intellectual exchange between China and the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone has extended an invitation to 25 Sierra Leone Police (SLP) personnel.
They will participate in a month-long seminar on security cooperation between the SLP and China.
Mr. Shusen Xu, in his invitation to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, highlighted the strong and warm relationship between the Chinese Embassy and the SLP. The embassy is committed to enhancing the SLP’s capacity through diverse training programs in China, including the establishment of a fully functional forensic laboratory.
The IGP expressed gratitude for this strategic intervention and hopes for further training opportunities once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.
The seminar will cover various aspects of policing, such as police command systems, transnational crime trends, anti-terrorism strategies, handling of mass incidents, information-led policing, cyber security, crime combating strategies, and self-defense skills, aiming to improve law enforcement through cooperation.
