Chinese Agriculture Experts Team Arrives in Sierra Leone

Today, Sierra Leone received Chinese Agriculture Experts Team, led by the esteemed Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Wang Qing.

With a strong focus on enhancing agricultural productivity, the team’s primary mission is to spearhead high-yielding rice and corn breeding initiatives while providing valuable training and support to local farmers.

Ambassador Wang Qing expressed optimism and confidence in the team’s capabilities, stating, “We are very pleased to welcome the new Chinese Agriculture Experts Team to Sierra Leone. Their expertise and dedication will undoubtedly play a vital role in advancing our ‘Feed Salone’ mission, ensuring food security and prosperity for our nation.”

The introduction of this expert team is expected to open doors for knowledge transfer, innovative agricultural techniques, and sustainable practices.

As they collaborate with local farmers, the Chinese Agriculture Experts Team aims to bring about transformative changes, propelling Sierra Leone’s agricultural sector to new heights.

This is exactly what I was expecting from President Bio since his first term in office, but it is better to be late than never, I pray to Allah for this initiative to be successful, according to Thomas Sankara the late President of Bukina faso" we should produce what we consume and consume what we produce" because we have the land and the human resources, this initiative of HE will not only bring us sufficient food but also create employment for us.

This is what president Bio should have done since his first term in governance. . All the money he spent on the Tormabom rice project should have been diverted to this very one . I have observed that Sierra Leoneans should not be trusted with such things alone because some of them are APC and they want this government to fall but the president cannot identify them.
