The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Amb. Norma Sanchez Aguila has on the 30th January 2024 paid a courtesy call to The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
Their engagement was based on mutual developmental exchange, which aimed at establishing an acquaintance between the First Lady and the Cuban Ambassador, and to discuss potential collaborations addressing issues, particularly those related to the well-being of women and girls.
They also mapped out ways in which Cuba could contribute to tackling challenges to promote a positive change in Sierra Leone. The shared dedication to addressing women and girls’ issues underscored the importance of international collaboration for meaningful solutions, paving the way for potential projects between Her Excellency’s office and the Republic of Cuba’s embassy, with a lasting impact on the lives of the people they serve.
This was seen as another positive start in the developmental strive of the first lady in pushing the visions of the President Bio towards rolling and building on strategies that will drive the positive and sustainable development in the country.
