Freetown, 1:15 pm – Voters at the Amaria School Elebanks Street center, located off Mountain Court, Constituency 123, are facing a delay in the commencement of the voting process.
An alarming incident unfolded earlier today, as an unidentified individual allegedly entered the center and destroyed the voters list, causing significant disruption to the electoral process.
The Amaria School Elebanks Street center, designated with the code 16140, was anticipated to host over 2300 eligible voters across its eight polling stations. However, due to the reported destruction of the voters list, the election officials on-site have been unable to initiate the voting procedures.
The motive behind the act of vandalism remains unclear at this point, raising concerns among the affected voters and authorities. The destruction of the voters list, a crucial document containing the names of registered voters, has undoubtedly hindered the smooth functioning of the electoral process in this particular center.
