Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Hon. Ambassador Michaelson Gibralla, represented the country at the influential Global Youth Summit in Russia, highlighting the nation’s commitment to youth empowerment amid global discussions on sustainable development and digital innovation.
The summit provided a platform for participating countries to showcase their strategies for youth empowerment and to explore opportunities for cross-border collaboration.
In his statement, Hon. Gibralla underscored the importance of young people as drivers of national and continental transformation. He highlighted the role of Sierra Leone’s youth in entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership, while also calling for stronger global partnerships to ensure that the aspirations of young people are translated into opportunities.
His participation, according to the Ministry of Youth Affairs, formed part of Sierra Leone’s ongoing engagement in international platforms aimed at amplifying youth voices in global decision-making processes.
