In a continued demonstration of dedication to grassroots initiatives, SLPP East Rural District Chairman and Deputy Minister of Energy 1, Dr. Eldred Taylor, reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment by making a significant financial donation to two entertainment groups in the Lumpa Community: Lumpa Jollay and Next Step Entertainment.
The donation was presented on Sunday, 8th December 2024.
The gesture, aimed at fostering the growth and development of these groups, was delivered on behalf of Dr. Taylor by Constituency 108 Chairman, Alhaji Aruna Jalloh. During the handover ceremony, Chairman Jalloh underscored Dr. Taylor’s steadfast dedication to improving youth livelihoods in the district. He encouraged the groups to utilize the funds responsibly and strategically to enhance their operations and achieve long-term success.
Representatives from Lumpa Jollay and Next Step Entertainment expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Taylor for the support. They acknowledged this as the first time such a substantial contribution had been made by a prominent stakeholder in the district. The groups pledged to use the funds prudently, including investing in modern tools and resources to boost their competitiveness with other entertainment organizations nationwide.
Dr. Taylor’s continued leadership reinforces the SLPP’s influence in the East Rural District while advancing President Bio’s Big Five Agenda, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment and community development.
