The Regional Head of the Energy Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) in Bo, Ing. Foday Kamara has said that over eight billion old leones remain unaccounted for every month in the district.
Kamara made this statement during a ceremony to formally assume EDSA leadership in the district, replacing Ing. George Seyia.
During the ceremony, Kamara underscored the importance of achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) for 2024, particularly addressing the prevalent issue of power theft in Bo and Kenema districts.
He highlighted alarming figures, revealing that over eight billion old leones remain unaccounted for every month, indicating rampant power theft. Despite an expected accounting of eleven billion leones, less than four billion is currently being reconciled, underscoring the urgent need for intervention in the region.
In his address, Kamuray emphasized the critical role of the newly appointed regional head in addressing these challenges and urged for swift action to curb power theft and ensure accountability within the district.
The event was marked by a formal handover ceremony presided over by Peter Kamuray, EDSA’s HR and Admin Manager.
This is true but the management should have an eye on most of the edsa staffs for they are mostly connected with almost all of the electricity theft. These same staffs are in the habit of holding onto meters that have been paid for
EDSA, please monitor your staffs. They are mostly responsible for all these abominable acts. Lack of integrity and contentment is another factor.
I insist you check your staff.
Some of this guy’s that are working in the system are not on pay role, so in that light its will be very easy for them to bend down the legal process and introduce the unauthorized system which will crate harm to the government. So to crown its all volunteer are too much in the system approve some of this guy’s that are training and qualified, so with that some of the elicit connection will reduce drastically.
