The Executive Director of Fambul Tok, John Caulker, has categorically stated that First Lady Fatima Bio is not qualified to contest for the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) flagbearer position.
Caulker make this statement during an interview on Liberty Online TV, while responding to question about the First Lady’s alleged intention to contest in 2028 presidential elections.
According to him, he has studied the constitution of the SLPP and the party have certain procedures for choosing flagbearers. He also stated that aspiring candidates should have a certain status to get such position which he did not mention.
He further stated that there is only one means that will make Fatima Bio become the flagbearer, which is if President Julius Maada Bio approves it.
He concluded that after talking to his lawyer friend, he disclosed that there are five qualified candidates to run for the flagbearer position of the SLPP excluding Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh.
The SLPP will have more chances of winning the 2028 electricians if Madam Fatima Bio becomes the flag bearer. We must put personal interest aside and try to focus on candidates who have a better footing in the international stage. She is the poor man’s friend. She has demonstrated this over and over. Please let’s give her a chance.
Thank God Mr. John k Sherry, you said Electricians not Election. Because as for the 2028 Election the SLPP will not win or steal it again, we are tired, enough is enough.
