Sierra Leone’s Minister of Finance, Sheku Ahmed Bangura has engaged a delegation from the European Union in Sierra Leone.
The meeting included the two deputy ministers of the Ministry Jeneba Bangura and Bockarie Albert on discussion around the public finance management (PFM)
The discussion was based on the efforts made by the ministry to reform and improve the public finance management (PFM) systems.
On the December 8th, the Director General of Human Resource Management at the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development, Abraham Makur Magnok ended a week-long study tour on Sierra Leone’s Public Financial Management and Human Resource systems and reforms.
Mr Magnok further stated they want to study the IFMIS, PFM, and HR systems to know how Sierra Leone approached and managed these reforms and the good practices they can adopt.
The Financial Secretary, Matthew Dingie, thanked the delegation for choosing Sierra Leone, stating that the government is willing to support the information and experience sharing on the various PFM and HR reforms and systems the government is undertaking.
