Residents along Dundas Street Community, have earlier today witnessed a horrific fire break which inflicted extensive property damage at Lewis Street.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire started off by a suspected electrical fault, which is allegedly related to problems with the local electricity supply. The fire spread quickly destroying multiple houses and leaving residents helpless to save their things.

As firefighters got on the scene, they faced serious challenges by a reported water scarcity, with the National Fire Force saying that the water supply had been drained. Some homeowners attempted to suppress the flames by pouring water from near by gutters, but this proved unsuccessful.

Local authorities are currently looking into all areas of the disaster, including the potential of casualties.
