The Foundation of Islamic Information (SL) LTD (FOISIL) has announced that the 12th National Quranic Memorisation Competition (NQMC) will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at FBC.
The announcement came during the final stage of participant scrutiny on Thursday, January 29, 2026, where successful candidates from the knockout rounds met with authorities in Quranic and Arabic education. The session also provided orientation and guidance ahead of the main event.
Dr. Mohamed Bassier Jalloh and FOISIL Registrar Sheikh Makkah Bah presided over the event, listening to brief recitations from all 10 participants representing the country’s five regions. Both officials commended the contestants’ performance and expressed confidence that the upcoming competition will deliver outstanding results.
They further advised participants to continue revising, stay focused, remain composed, and be fully prepared to demonstrate their skills in Quranic recitation and memorization.
