Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that they have reached an agreement with the Motor Drivers Union and other key stakeholders in the Transport Sector to adjust public transportation fares in response to the recent increase in fuel prices.
As of Wednesday, 2nd August 2023, fares within the Freetown Municipality and on Provincial/Across-Border Routes will be updated to reflect the new pricing structure.
This decision aims to address the impact of the fuel price hike on public transportation costs and ensure fair adjustments for commuters.
