Chernor Bah, Sierra Leone’s Information and Civic Education Minister, has underscored the government’s commitment to prioritizing information dissemination in Sierra Leone.

Emphasizing the directives given by President Bio, Bah asserted that the government aims to keep the information system robust and aligned with the best interests of the Sierra Leonean people.

Speaking earlier on Radio Democracy 98.1 FM, Bah expressed, “Our most basic but paramount principle is that we work for the citizens of Sierra Leone.” Reflecting on President Bio’s instructions, he highlighted the need to establish a public information and civic education system rooted in this core principle. “We are making genuine efforts,” Bah affirmed.

In a move to expand the reach of governmental communication, the minister noted that they have amplified their media engagement. This includes marking a pronounced presence on multiple social media platforms popular among Sierra Leoneans, thus ensuring a wider dissemination of information.
