the Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has expressed gratitude to rice importers for their cooperation over the past eight months in designing a Pricing Formula (PF) that regulates the wholesale prices of rice nationwide.
The Ministry’s public notice also highlights a groundbreaking achievement in collaboration with Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
For the first time in Sierra Leone’s history, a PF for all petroleum products has been formulated and published. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to ensure equity, transparency, and accountability in the sale of essential commodities.
Looking ahead, the Ministry announced its intention to publish pricing formulas for other essential commodities in the coming weeks.
These measures aim to create a more structured and sustainable trade environment that balances the interests of consumers and businesses alike.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing market efficiency, promoting fairness, and supporting national economic growth.
The government appreciates the continued cooperation of stakeholders and anticipates further productive engagements in the months ahead.
These are some of the things the government should focus on to seek the interest of the people.
May you continue ur good work.
If u really want to gain the audience of the people, everything must come down as it was, especially: fuel, rice as it’s now and above all dollar rate must be drop.
