The Government of Sierra Leone has declared the following days as public holidays to observe Christmas (the birth of Christ) and New Year, marking the beginning of 2024.
The press release reads;
CHRISTMAS DAY, BOXING DAY, AND NEW YEAR’S DAY
The General Public is hereby informed that the following days have been declared as public holidays throughout the country:
Monday 25th December 2023- Christmas Day
Tuesday 26th December 2023- Boxing Day
Monday 1st January 2024- New Year’s Day
