The National Chairman of Sierra Leone’s People’s Party (SLPP), Dr. Alex Prince Harding has opened up on the ongoing rumors that there’s a fight between him and President Julius Maada Bio.

In a recent interview made available to Sierraloaded, Dr. Harding said there is no such fight between him and the president and that he recognizes the president as his leader and he’s in full support of the president and has been in support of him since day one.

“The rumors that I am not in cordial terms with the president is just wishful thinking, as we have APC inside SLPP, NGC inside SLPP, and PMDC inside SLPP, and these are the people I call ‘Unholy Paopa Supporters,” he said.

He added that he does not pay hide to such rumors as he knows that if they get onto him they will be able to get onto the president.

He said the president is a younger brother to him and that he had started his support towards the president in 2015 when no one knew or had the confidence that he will become a president in the country.

“I stood by him, I challenged the president, I challenged the vice president due to the fact that he was my choice. I did not follow the choice made by the then-president and I paid dearly for it.”, Harding said.

He also said that it was due to his decision to support President Bio back then is why he is being exalted by the president now.
