A heated exchange of words has erupted between Chief Minister David Sengeh of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the APC’s minority leader in Parliament, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, reigniting political debates over the performance of both the ruling and opposition parties in Sierra Leone.
The confrontation began on social media, where Dr. Sengeh expressed his frustration with the opposition, stating, “My goodness, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, APC Minority of Parliament, is a true demonstration of how unprepared and uninspired the APC is. Sad!”
Hon. Kargbo was quick to respond, questioning the sincerity of the Chief Minister’s sentiments. “If the APC is unprepared and uninspired, the Chief Minister should be happy, not sad—unless he’s being hypocritical and insincere in his statements,” he retorted.
This exchange comes on the heels of the APC’s decision to withdraw from all parliamentary activities, a move criticized by Dr. Sengeh as indicative of poor leadership and a lack of direction. The APC’s withdrawal stems from concerns about the Clerk of Parliament, Paran Umar Tarawally, who is reportedly contesting for an executive position within the SLPP.
In a press statement, Hon. Kargbo emphasized that this situation undermines the neutrality and integrity of the Clerk’s office, which is expected to serve Parliament in a strictly nonpartisan capacity.
This war of words have ever remained in the politics of these two twins ( Alhasan and Alusine). The electorates will be focussing on these innuendos while the basic services are unavailable.
Let’s think and talk salone, and consider the rhetorics mere academic vibes the progress. Shame on All of you!
