The Country Director for ICAP, Mame Awa Toure and team paid a courtesy call on the Sierra Leone World Health Organization (WHO) in Freetown the nation’s capital to boost health system in the country.
ICAP, is a global leader in public health based at Columbia which is committed to improving lives by empowering health around the world. They have been working in Sierra Leone since 2014, partnering with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation to assess the community care centers established as part of the nation’s Ebola outbreak response.
The engagement with the WHO Sierra Leone was focused at strengthening the collaboration and on critical interventions into issues including AMR Surveillance and Lab systems, HIV, Malaria, Maternal and Child Health in Sierra Leone.
The engagement is believed to be a positive one for the health system in the country as is backed up with the minister’s transformational health for all campaign in the country.
