Vice President Dr. Mohammed Juldeh Jalloh has stepped in to address concerns over a parcel of state land in Kissy, following community outcry over its proposed commercial use.

The land, situated near a school, mosque, and other public facilities, became a flashpoint after reports of plans for private development emerged. During his visit, the Vice President assured residents that the government remains committed to protecting community spaces and making land-use decisions that reflect public needs. “We are working to ensure that this matter is resolved amicably and transparently,” he said.

Dr. Jalloh also pledged to review the land’s documentation and strengthen safeguards to prevent future disputes. Local leaders welcomed the intervention, praising the government’s responsiveness and constructive engagement.
