The Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has commended the Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), James Bagie Bio, for what he described as significant progress and transformation within the institution.

He made the commendation during a visit to the SLRSA exhibition booth at the Sierra Leone Mining Week held at the Bintumani International Conference Hall in Freetown.

Dr. Jalloh praised the Authority for improvements in service delivery, enhanced road safety administration, and increased institutional efficiency, noting that ongoing reforms are yielding positive results.

He highlighted key areas of progress, including vehicle registration, driver licensing, and public awareness campaigns, which he said have contributed to restoring public confidence in the institution.

The Vice President further urged the SLRSA to intensify efforts in removing unroadworthy heavy-duty trucks from the nation’s roads, warning that such vehicles continue to contribute to fatal road accidents.

Dr. Jalloh reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting institutions that promote transparency, accountability, and effective public service delivery across the country.
