The leading presidential candidate for the main opposition party, All People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Matthew Wilson Samura  Kamara has on Monday 23 January 2023 made an unnoticed visitation to the main referral health facility of the Connaught Hospital in Freetown.

The purpose for his visit was to sympathise with the “sick and the bereaved families” in the hospital.

The former APC flagbearer gave hope to the sick at the hospital and encouraged them to have faith in God for their healing, adding that the APC party is always thinking about them.

Kamara promised the sick people that he will also be praying for their good health and for God’s provisions and protection to visit them.

He promised that if he becomes president in the coming June 24th elections, he would ensure that he provides good healthcare facilities for every Sierra Leonean.

The APC leading presidential candidate Kamara disclosed that he spent the whole of last week visiting hospitals and mortuaries across the country, noting that the sick and the bereaved need to be consoled for their difficult predicaments.

Samura Kamara was accompanied by his former APC running-mate, Honourable Chernor Maju Bah, Esq., who is also the current Leader of the main opposition party in the House of Parliament,

Hon. Bah in his message to the sick and the bereaved, said that it was necessary for them as the main opposition party to show some humanitarian support to the sick at various hospitals across the country.

He added that the visit to Connaught was in support of his former boss, noting that if his boss emerge victorious things will surely change for the better.

Hon. Bah encouraged the people at Connaught to throw their support for Dr Samura Kamara in the upcoming general elections.

He continued that Samura Kamara is the only politician that will save this country from the problems it’s undergoing at the moment.

Hon. Bah ended by saying that this is not the end of the party’s support for the people, adding that they will give more support to vulnerable people in the future.

The visit to Connaught hospital also involved other prominent APC politicians like the former deputy chair and leader of the APC, Hon. Minkilu Mansaray, Dr Sam Sesay, Lansana Fadika who happens to be the chairman of Dr Samura Kamara’s campaign team, Sidi Yaya Tunis, and a host of other staunch APCians.
